The 2nd Gen version of the Echo speaker is somewhat smaller than the first gen version. Not as tall. Plus, it has a bit more bass, and has different power needs. So the AC cords you cannot swap between these two versions.

The Ports
The power port is on the left, and the covered AUX port is on the right.

AC Adapter Plugged into the Echo 2
Easily goes into the speaker. But don’t push too hard, lest you damage the port.

Booting the Amazon Echo 2 Speaker Pictures
The blue and green light ring during boot. It shows a spinning pattern.

The orange light ring. Stays ON while the speaker is in set up mode. But it goes out after a minute or so, when setup timeout happens. If this occurs, put the speaker back into setup by turning it OFF than back ON again.

Press these buttons at the same time to reset the Echo 2. You would reset when switching the speaker to new WiFi, or when you give it away or sell it.

Speaker booting. Takes twenty or so seconds for the blue ring to go out. It flashes twice tho show that booting is done.
