Finding JBL Flip 4 Firmware Version

Here, we demonstrate finding JBL Flip 4 firmware version. Now you might want to know the exact version number of the currently installed firmware, while troubleshooting speaker connection, pairing, and other problems. So to get the release information of the firmware installed on your Flip 4, you’ll need a mobile device (iPhone, iPad, Android, Etc.) with Bluetooth, the JBL Connect+ app installed on that device, and obviously, the JBL Flip 4 speaker itself. Moreover, displaying the currently installed firmware version takes only a brief time.

Finding JBL Flip 4 Firmware Version Without App

You can press a button combination to have the speaker speak the firmware version number currently installed in it to you.  This is the easiest way.  For that, do the following.

1. Turn the Flip 4 ON

Firstly, power up the Flip 4 by pressing and releasing the Power button, as highlighted in the next picture.

With the speaker powered UP, press and hold these buttons until the speaker speaks the current firmware version to you in a female voice.  Ours said 3, 2, 0.  It just says the three digits.  It does not say the points between them.
