Here, we list many features of this unit, including Flip 6 Auto Turn OFF. Now this battery saver feature shuts down the Flip after approximately twenty minutes of inactivity (audio playing or button presses). Unlike pressing the Power button to turn OFF the Flip, Auto Turn OFF makes no power down sound. The unit just shuts down silently, with all lights going dark. Note however, that Auto Turn OFF does not occur with the speaker connected to external power. Playing something through this Flip or pressing any of the buttons, resets the Auto Turn OFF timer.
We also include the tech specifications, that cover length, width, weight, battery recharge time, output power, and music play time per charge. We also give its frequency response, and Bluetooth support details as well as other tidbits.
Flip 6 Auto Turn OFF: The Details
- Auto Power OFF / Standby / Shutdown after roughly 20 minutes of nothing playing.
- USB charging via the included USB-C cable.
- Charging protection alerts you with tones if the USB-C port gets water on it.
- A status meter that shows how much charge is in the battery.
Moreover, it’s clear from these specs, that the Flip 6, released in December, 2021, sounds pretty good. Indeed it plays loud enough, with its twenty watts of mono power. Plus, the passive radiators give more bass than models like the prior Flip 3.
Furthermore, even at max output, the lithium polymer battery lasts up to twelve hours per charge.
And finally. the specs certainly do not bely the great features JBL put into this medium level speaker. Indeed, the USB-C charging system provides faster recharging times as well.
