We find this Great Value disinfectant foaming bathroom cleaner is low cost yet it works very well. Use it in tubs, showers, and vanity sinks. It’s cheaper to buy than the more name brand products. Yet in our view, it cleans just as well.
We used many versions of the Scrubbing Bubbles brand cleaner for over twenty years. We found it works wonders on cleaning tough soap scum, hard water and rust stains from kitchen and bathroom sinks. This Great Value version does the same. It leaves a fresh lemony scent, that shouts “very clean”. Yet it costs one to two dollars less than the SC Johnson labeled product. As with most Great Value products, this bathroom cleaning aid defines “Great Value” as high quality at a fair price. We love it.
Pros, Features, Benefits, and Advantages of Great Value Bathroom Cleaner Spray
Easy to Find at Walmart
We find this foaming bathroom cleaner, exclusively at Walmart markets and super centers.
Sprays Even Upside Down
Apply while holding the can at any angle. This is an improvement over earlier versions of this product. In those, you had to keep the can upright and slightly tilted. But you get the best foam spraying when you hold the can right side up, with the nozzle on top.
Great Value Spray Bathroom Cleaner Cleans Well the First Time
Rarely need you apply this power spray cleaner a second time. This Great Value bathroom foaming spray almost always removes even the toughest soils in the bathroom the first time. But for heavily layered soap deposits and grub, a few applications may clean better.
Makes Bathroom Cleaning a Breeze
This product softens the grub in the tub as it bubbles into it. So after the bubbles work their magic, simply wipe with a damp cloth to completely clean the surface. Much easier than the abrasive cleansers we’ve tried. In spite of their grit, cleansers still take some serious elbow grease to clean stubborn soap scum.
Tip: Once you spray on this cleaner, wait until you no longer hear the foaming bubbles scrubbing before wiping away.
Works Well on Tubs and Showers
We’ve found Great Value spray foam bathroom cleaner to work quite well on glass shower doors. It easily removes layers of soap scum.
Great Value Bathroom Cleaner Not Just a Bathroom Cleaner
We’ve also used this cleaner to successfully remove tobacco smoke stains from suspended ceiling tiles. But when cleaning any surface, be sure to first test-clean a hidden area of said surface first. Then, check that this product neither discolors nor damages it.
As a declared antibacterial cleaner, this Great Value bathroom cleaner kills odor-causing germs and leaves behind near-sterile surfaces. So it reduces the possible spread of bacterial infections when used regularly. Thus you needn’t follow up with a disinfecting spray after using this bathroom cleaner. Both a cleaner and disinfectant work to your benefit in this tub and shower cleaner.
Leaves Bathroom Smelling Lemony Clean
The can says that it kills 99.9 percent of all bacteria, along with Staph, Klebstella pneumoniae, and E. coli. You get the best disinfecting performance on hard, non-porous surfaces.
Watch Great Value Bathroom Cleaner Working
You can hear its foaming action at work once you spray it on. It’s time to wipe it off when you see and hear no more foaming action.
Will Not Scratch or Etch Shiny Metal Surfaces
It does not scratch or otherwise harm chrome faucet finishes. So we spray it on all bathroom surfaces like the sink, shower, and even under the toilet rim.
Rinses Off with Water
Great Value Bathroom Cleaner is Easy on the Environment
This aerosol contains no CFCs to harm the ozone layer of the atmosphere.
We get anywhere from five to twelve bathroom cleanings from one 22-ounce can. At around $2.50 per can, this cleaner is a great buy given how well it works.
Disadvantages, Cons, Limitations, and Concerns of Great Value Foaming Bathroom Cleaner
The very strong odor while the bubbles are dissolving grime and scum can overpower the senses. So be sure to switch on the bathroom exhaust fan and / or open a window while applying this product. Keep them open until after you’ve rinsed away the spent cleaner.
You Should Leave the Area Being Cleaned
It’s also prudent to exit the room after applying this spray. Spray it on, and then quickly get away. Then stay away for fifteen minutes or so, while it works.
Best to Use Gloves with Great Value Bathroom Cleaner
This Great Value bathroom cleaner can burn or irritate the skin. So rinse it off right away with water if you get it on your skin. By no means leave it there for more than a minute or two. To avoid this, wear gloves while using this cleaner. Take great care not to splatter it on any exposed skin.
Near Constant Can Shaking Needed
You must shake the can thoroughly prior to spraying as well as throughout spraying. When spraying, we shake it up every ten to twenty seconds. Constant shaking assures that we get the strongest cleaning bubbles all over the bathtub.
Our Rating of Great Value Spray Foaming Bathroom Cleaner
All in all, this Great Value antibacterial spray bathroom cleaner is a real time saver. Much better than cleaners from back in the day, when you had to use abrasive cleansers for best results. While it’s often out of stock at Walmart, we’d nonetheless highly recommend it. In spite of its strong odor and the skin irritation we get at times, we still like it. It works too well to avoid. So we rate this powerful bath and shower cleaner at 95 out of 100.
