How to Bass Boost JBL Flip 4: You Can Turn it OFF
By default, this speaker has bass boost mode turned ON after a reset. This adds a bit of treble and lots of extra bass to the audio.
You can turn this bass boost off by pressing the Volume Down (-) and Bluetooth buttons.
Then Hold them in for roughly ten seconds, until the Power and Connect buttons light up white. This deactivates bass boost. Then the Flip 4 sounds like it now has more midrange frequencies and less bass.
How to Turn On Bass Boost on the JBL Flip 4
To re activate bass boost once more, press the Volume Down and Bluetooth buttons. Then hold them in until the Power and Connect buttons light white. Then release them. When these buttons above light together, bass boost is active once again.
Warning
The unit really thumps when you switch ON bass boost. So be warry of how loudly you play this speaker with the bass boosted. Caution here helps to avoid breakage to the drivers. If the bass is crackling, snapping, tapping, or otherwise distorting, turn it down !
