How to Connect JBL Wonderboom 1 to iPad

This post shows How to Connect JBL Wonderboom 1 to iPad. So first, start with this speaker OFF (all dark LEDs). Then, follow along to pair it with most any source device.  So in this demo, we show how pairing works on our iPad Air mobile computer. But like procedures work for iPhones, iPods, and Android phones and tablets as well.

How to Connect JBL Wonderboom 1 to iPad: Step by Step

1. Visit the Home Screen on your iPad Air

Firstly, press the Home button to get to the  Home   iPad page.

2. Find the iPad Settings App

We find ours on the second page of the  Home  screen on our tablet.

3. Bring up the Settings App

Then, tap the Settings app icon.

Then the source device displays the first page of its  Settings  screen.

4. Go to the Bluetooth Settings Page to Continue with How to Connect JBL Wonderboom 1 to iPad

Next, tap the  Bluetooth  item.

Then our  Bluetooth Settings screen appears. Note that the JBL Wonderboom 1 is currently OFF. So it does not show in either the  My Devices  or  Other Devices lists yet,  Why?  Because we’ve not yet paired it with this iPad before.  Furthermore, the speaker is not yet transmitting its BT connection info.

5. Turn On your JBL Wonderboom 1

Then, turn on the WB by quickly pressing its  Power  button.

The unit then comes on.

6. Start Pairing Mode

So to see your JBL Wonderboom 1 on your iPad Air, place it into pairing mode. For that, press and release the Bluetooth button.

The -Bluetooth- button. It momentarily glows steadily when you connect to iPad.

When you press this Pairing button, the speaker makes a distinctive sound several times. Plus, a lamp in this button starts rapidly flashing white.

7. Find your JBL Wonderboom 1 on your Source Device

See the picture next. We find ours.

8. Connect with your JBL Wonderboom 1

Then tap the speaker in the  Other Devices  section of the  Bluetooth Devices  list.

Your iPad Air then pairs with the JBL Wonderboom 1 (appears as “WONDERBOOM” in this demo).

The  Bluetooth Settings  screen then changes to display something like the following.

Note that the JBL Wonderboom 1 now appears as connected, as circled inside the green oval in the last picture.

9. Done with How to Connect JBL Wonderboom 1 to iPad !

Finally, we have now successfully paired our JBL Wonderboom 1 with our iPad Air iOS device.  So audio from that device now plays on this speaker.
