JBL Boombox 2 Low Frequency Mode: How to Turn It Off
By default, the JBL Boombox 2 has its bass mode turned on after a reset. This adds a bit of treble and lots of extra bass. In this demo, we use a Boombox 1. But we will update the pictures as soon as we acquire a Boombox 2. At any rate, the procedures for the speakers appear to be the same.
You can turn this low frequency mode off by pressing the Volume Down (-) and Bluetooth buttons. Then hold them in for about ten seconds. Finally release them when the Power and Connect buttons light up. Find all these buttons on the top of the unit.

To turn low frequency mode back on, again, press the Volume Down and Bluetooth buttons. Hold them in until the Power and Connect buttons light up. Then release them. This activates low frequency mode once more.
Warning
The drivers really rock when you switch on low frequency mode. So be careful how loudly you play this speaker. Indeed with the low frequency mode ON, the extra bass could damage the speaker drivers. Certainly if the bass is crackling, tapping, or distorting, then turn it down !
