JBL Charge 3 Charger Type and Description

The Charge 3 JBL Bluetooth speaker comes with an AC adapter, discussed in this post.  Furthermore, this JBL Charge 3 charger type can fully recharge the speaker’s built in power bank in less than five hours.  Then, the unit can play for up to twenty hours.  So here, we describe the type of charger that works best with the  JBL Charge 3 Bluetooth speaker, and show how to charge the speaker with it.

Moreover, this USB AC adapter is bright orange in color, as pictured next. It also  features one USB A female power output receptacle, and retractable AC input prongs too.

JBL Charge 3 Charger Type and Description

This charger is a USB type AC wall adapter, as detailed next…





Specifically, the model Number: 5V-2.3C-1U.  Firstly, the input: 100-240 volts, 50-60 Hertz, 0.5 Amps Max.  Furthermore, the output is  5 volts, 2.3 amps Max. Made in China.  I.T.E. Power Supply.  LPS  Group Intellect Power Technologies Limited.

Also, this power supply is energy performance verified. Intertek EP4007837.  Safety Mark  130024-17.  Conforms to UL.  STO 60950-1.  Certified to CSA STD. C22.2 No. 50590-1-07.  ETL 4007852.

They also include a USB A to micro USB cable, also orange colored.  This connects the speaker and the power supply for speaker charging.

The AC power supply and speaker are connected for recharging the speaker batteries as shown next. The speaker has two USB plugs inside its sealed port panel.  One is a USB A female power input port and the other is a micro USB port.  Use the micro USB input to recharge the JBL Charge 3 wireless speaker.

This JBL Charge 3 charger type should work well for recharging many of the other JBL Bluetooth speakers, such as the JBL Flip 2, Flip 3, and Flip 4.  It can also fully charge the JBL Clip series units including the JBL Clip 2 and JBL Clip 3 models.
