Furthermore, to get the quickest charge time and fullest charge when the power bank battery inside runs low, be sure to use a high current USB charger.

How Long it Plays Per Full Charge

On a complete charge, the Charge 3 JBL speaker can play for up to twenty (20) hours, due to its 6,000 MaH, 22.2 WaH lithium ion polymer battery.  But when you play it loudly, particularly with added bass, you will see somewhat shorter party music playing power.  In fact, we’ve seen this speaker run dead in around seventeen hours when played at louder volumes. So to get the longest charge time from it, power saving is important.  To conserve power, just play it only as loudly as you need to, to hear it well throughout your listening space.

The Play Time Gets Smaller as the JBL Charge 3 Ages

If you own this power bank speaker for around three to five years, then you may notice that the time it plays from a single charge shrinks as the speaker gets older.  This is normal for devices like this one, that have lithium ion batteries.

But by exercising the battery, you can slow this charge capacity fall off.

Additionally, to exercise the JBL Charge 3, run the battery dead and charge it again every three to six months when not in use.

Also, we suggest that you not leave the speaker plugged into a charger once it has reached a full charging.  Right after the charging lamps completely go out, disconnect the speaker as soon as you can, to avoid overcharging it and damaging the battery.
