JBL Go 2 Charger Type and Replacement

An adequate JBL Go 2 charger type, is a USB wall or car charger that delivers enough juice to fully recharge this speaker in the least amount of time (around 2.5 hours). Note that currently, JBL does not include a USB charger with the Go 2.  So, you’ll need to either have one already, or buy one.

Also, the speaker has a micro USB charging port. So if you decide to buy one of the USB-C charger options below, then be sure to also purchase the right USB-C cable.  You’ll use this to connect the speaker to whatever charger of choice. Details follow.

Furthermore, the maximum current this speaker accepts is ~0.5 amps to get the speediest recharging performance. Either use a USB-C to USB-C cord, or a USB-A to USB-C cable if you go with one of the older USB 2.0 chargers below.

Which JBL Go 2 Charger Type Works Well?

We successfully charge the Go 2 speaker with the AC adapters below. Note that some of these feature a USB A type female connector.  So, you can use an adapter such as these to connect your speaker if you wish to use the micro USB to USB-A cord that comes with the JBL Go 2.  Or, if your charger only has a USB-C output port, then you’ll need a USB-C to micro USB cable, which they do not include with the speaker.

Now, to the chargers we suggest.

USB-C Chargers that Work Well with the JBL Go 2

This group of chargers can recharge the Go 2 at the max power that the speaker can take (around 3 watts).  Plus none of these costs very much. But as we said earlier, for some of them, you will need a USB-C to Micro USB cable to connect each charger to the speaker.
