JBL Speaker USB

Covers details about JBL Speaker USB ports and chargers. Now many of these speakers come with no power supply.  But we give the specs for a highly adequate JBL Speaker USB unit below that we discovered.  Indeed, this adapter fully recharges the speaker’s battery in roughly two and a half (2.5) hours.  Then, the speaker plays for up to twelve (12) hours at average volume levels before needing another recharge. So this device offers four times the power capacity the speaker needs.  Yet it is not too costly, comes from JBL, and is of decent construction.

Firstly, this 60 watt unit is black in color, as we see next. Plus, it has one USB-C DC power output plug. Finally, for connecting to mains power, it features a retractable pair of silver, non polarized prongs.

About the Cable

This power supply comes in one piece.  The single USB-C output cord is flexible and permanently attached to the adapter box with adequate strain relief. So, no need to worry about losing a detachable USB cord.

The AC Input Part of This JBL Speaker USB

Next, we show the AC input plug on that box.  This is a pretty standard, non polarized AC prongs.  So that means that you can insert the cord into a wall outlet either way.

Furthermore, we detail next the other connector in this power adapter.

Additionally, the part of the DC output jack that plugs into the speaker is a standard USB-C plug.

Since this is a standard connector (USB-C), we won’t give its physical characteristics here.  But if you need that level of detail, please consult the USB-C standards documentation.

Finally, lots of other USB adapters work with the speaker as well.  But this one is hefty enough to do the job very well, and recharge this speaker the quickest. Plus, it’s available occasionally on eBay, and you can get equivalent models at Amazon.
