Covers the JBL Wonderboom 1 software update details. Or lack thereof. Indeed we know of no way to upgrade the software on this speaker. Also, we find that currently, there are no downloads listed for it on the Ultimate Ears web site. Additionally, neither do they supply any details for how to do this in the included manuals.
So perhaps the engineers feel that the speaker works well enough with the original software. Thus, they chose not to offer a (likely) confusing and difficult software update routine for the JBL Wonderboom 1. Also, in our tests, the speaker has proven to indeed be quite solid. E.g. We’ve found no bugs. Nor have we experienced any lost connections, distortion, crashes, or anything else bad. So updating is likely not needed, and as far as we can tell, impossible for the average consumer to do. So just enjoy this model right out of the box for its entire lifetime. No software updates for that are necessary.
