Logitech Roll Reset Instructions

These Logitech Roll speaker reset instructions show you how to totally reset your Logitech Roll Bluetooth speaker to its factory default settings.  Resetting erases any earlier paired Bluetooth devices from its memory. Clearing these stops the Roll from pairing to any nearby Bluetooth devices in search mode. Also, you should reset the speaker to get it ready for sale or re gifting, or to stop it from pairing with devices you no longer wish to auto pair when you turn the speaker on.

Logitech Roll Reset Instructions Step by Step

1. Power ON the Speaker

2. Wait for the Bongo Sound

The speaker makes a soft bongo strike sound when it powers up. The Logitech Roll is ready to use after this sound stops.

Now the speaker may or may not pair with a device, depending on whether there are any in-range Bluetooth devices that know about the Roll.  But whether or not paired, the reset works as follows.

3. Press the Volume DOWN and Power Buttons Together

The Power button is on the speaker back, and the Volume DOWN button is on the front.  See these highlighted in the next two pictures.

The Roll then enters reset mode.  Furthermore, the Bluetooth lamp starts fast flashing white. This means that the speaker has forgotten saved Bluetooth connections in memory and has unpaired from any paired devices. Connections in progress end at this time as well.

Then after a short pause, the Logitech Roll shuts down. Both the power and Bluetooth  lamps go dark.  E.g. See both dark lamps in the next picture.  The Roll also makes make the power-down sound.

Next, turn ON the unit again, as detailed in step 1 earlier.

Note that after a reset, the speaker comes up in discovery mode.  So, no need to press the Bluetooth button to pair at this time.

Once powered on, the Bluetooth light quickly blinks white when the speaker waits for a source device to discover and connect to it.

5. Done with Logitech Roll Bluetooth Speaker Reset !

At last, the speaker reset is now done So you may safely sell or gift it. Or, pair it again with your favorite Bluetooth devices.

Note that after a reset, the speaker no longer automatically connects with previously paired Bluetooth devices. Thus, to restore automatic Bluetooth pairing, you manually pair the Roll with a device. Then after that, any time that both speaker and that device have Bluetooth turned on, auto pairing would take place once more.
