You charge the Sony X 5 mini speaker via the yellow DC barrel style power input port on the back, and to get the quickest charging time and fullest charge, use a medium current AC charger for fastest yet lowest costing results. Details follow.

Sony X 5 Charging Time: How Long to Fully Recharge
According to the specs, and verified by our own tests, the time it takes to charge the X 5 is four (4) hours, using a charger with the recommended specs of 12.5 volts, 2.5 amps, or 31.25 max watts.
How Long it Plays Per Full Recharge
On a complete charge, the X 5 can play for up to eight (8) hours, due to its 7.4 volt, lithium ion battery. But when you play it loudly, especially with lots of bass, you will see significantly shortened playing time.
We’ve seen this Bluetooth speaker run dead in around three (3) hours when played at louder sound levels. So to get the longest charge time from it, power saving is critical. Just play it only as loudly as you need to, to hear it well throughout your listening space.

The Charging Time Gets Smaller as the X 5 Ages
If you own this speaker over a few to several years, you may notice that the time it plays from a single charge lessens as the older the speaker is. This is normal for devices like this one, that rely on lithium ion batteries.
But by fully cycling the battery periodically, you can slow this charge capacity degradation.
To exercise the X 5. run the battery down to completely dead, and then recharge it again. Also, if you store the speaker for long periods, be sure to recharge it every three to six months.
Also, we recommend that you avoid leaving the speaker connected to a charger once it reaches full charge. Right after the charging lamp goes dark, unplug the speaker as soon as you can, to avoid overcharging it and aging the battery prematurely.
