- The UE Megaboom 3 may not get enough power from a low power USB AC adapter (under 10 watts capacity). So it can’t keep the battery from discharging when playing at full volume, depending on the volume. So even with this unit on external power, the music could still drop out abruptly. Thus when this occurs, just stop playing the speaker for an hour or two. Let it build up some reserve battery power as it charges. Then, fire it up again to continue the party enjoyment.
