Ultimate Ears Wonderboom Battery Level Sounds

Explains how to read the Ultimate Ears Wonderboom battery level sounds.  When you press the right buttons while the unit is running, it emits one or more sound pulses to tell you how full the battery is, as described below.

Ultimate Ears Wonderboom Battery Level Sounds: Reading Them Step by Step

1. First, Boot Up the Ultimate Ears Wonderboom

You won’t be able to read battery unless the speaker is ON.

To turn on the speaker, press and release the Power button, pointed out by the yellow arrow the last picture.

The small lamp in that button should then light, as we see next, and the speaker should make its startup sound.  If it does not, then the battery could be completely dead.

The white glowing -Power- button.

But as long as there’s some juice in the battery, the speaker should boot.  When it does, move ahead to the next step.

2. Press and Release the Volume UP and Volume DOWN Buttons to Continue with Ultimate Ears Wonderboom Battery Level Sounds

Press and release the center areas of the Volume UP and Volume DOWN buttons at the same time.  Locate these areas in the picture shown next. The Volume Up button is in the center of the plus (+) symbol on the speaker front, and the Volume Down button is found in the middle of the vertical minus (-) symbol, just below the plus symbol.

The -Volume UP(+)- and -Volume DOWN (-)- buttons. Press these at the same time to hear the battery level sounds.

When you press these buttons together, the speaker makes one to four “blunk” sounds to tell you how high the battery level is.  Four blunks means that the battery has between 75 and 100 percent charge.  Three blunks, and the battery level is between 50 and 75 percent charge.  Two blunks denotes that you have between 25 and 50 percent charge.  And finally, one blunk means between 0 and 25 percent charge.

Now since the Ultimate Ears Wonderboom plays for up to fourteen (14) hours on a full charge, you can estimate based on the number of blunks you get, approximately how much play time you have left.  Four blunks means that you have between 10.5 and 14 hours left.  Three blunks means between 7 and 10.5 hours. Two blunks means between 3.5 and 7 hours. And one blunk means that you have less than 3.5 hours of playing time to go before the speaker dies.
