Explains Why Is My JBL Flip 6 Speaker Not Discoverable. Now to pair the Flip 6 with a device, you have to first put the JBL Flip 6 Speaker in discovery mode. In that mode, the speaker transmits its Bluetooth name and handle data. This allows nearby devices to find and connect to it. But sometimes, the Flip might not be discoverable. So here are a few things to check before trying to find it on your source device..
- Move the JBL Flip 6 Speaker and source device close together (within a few feet of one another).
- Power UP the speaker.
- Try pressing the Pairing button.
- If that button does not immediately start flashing, then the speaker may be in AUX mode. Take it out of that mode by pressing the Bluetooth and Play-Pause buttons and holding for ten seconds. The Flip then turns OFF and after a few seconds, comes back on. See our JBL Flip 6 Speaker AUX Mode post for more details.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3, and the button should flash now.
- If not, then try resetting the speaker, and again, try repeating steps 2 and 3 above. See our How to Factory Reset JBL Flip 6 Speaker post for further details.
- If all that fails, then the speaker might be defective. Try pairing with a different speaker.
