Now to pair the Flip 6 with a device, you have to first put the JBL Flip 6 Speaker in discovery mode.  In that mode, the speaker transmits its Bluetooth name and handle data. This allows nearby devices to find and connect to it. But sometimes, the Flip might not be discoverable. So here are a few things to check before trying to find it on your source device..

1. Move the JBL Flip 6 Speaker and source device close together (within a few feet of one another).
2. Power UP the speaker.
3. Try pressing the Pairing button.
4. If that button does not immediately start flashing, then the speaker may be in AUX mode. Take it out of that mode by pressing the Bluetooth and Play-Pause buttons and holding for ten seconds. 5. Repeat steps 2 and 3, and the button should flash now.

7. If all that fails, then the speaker might be defective. Try pairing with a different speaker.

1. Turn On the JBL Flip 6 Speaker

Firstly, power up the speaker by rapidly pressing its  Power  button.

The speaker then comes on.

2. Press the Discovery Mode Button for Two to Three Seconds

Secondly, to be able to locate your speaker on your source Bluetooth device, place it into discovery mode. So to do that, press and release the the Discovery Mode button.

When you press this button, the speaker makes a plucking guitar pairing sound. Plus, the Discovery Mode button lamp starts fast blinking white.
