1. Visit the Home Screen on the iPhone

Firstly, at the lock screen, swipe up from the bottom to bring up the phone’s Home screen.

2. Find the Settings App

Then we find ours on the second page of the Home screen.

iPhone -Home- screen showing the -Settings- app.

3. Bring up the Settings App

Thirdly, tap the Settings app icon.

iPhone -Settings- page, showing the -Bluetooth- option.

The mobile device then displays the first page of its settings.

4. Go to the  Bluetooth Page to Continue with How to Connect JBL Clip 4 to iPhone

Then tap the Bluetooth item.  Our Bluetooth screen then displays, similar to the following.

The iPhone  -Bluetooth- page.

Note that our Bluetooth is running here. If yours is OFF, then move the switch item to the ON position.

Now since the speaker is currently OFF, it does not appear in the Bluetooth devices list. Also, we don’t see it since we have yet to pair this speaker with this iPhone.

5. Turn On your Speaker

Turn on this unit  by quickly pressing its Power button.  Find it on the left side of the speaker, closest to the top.

The speaker then boots and the status light starts glowing or flashing white.

The speaker then makes a rising pitch guitar strum sound.

But since the iPhone does not know about this speaker, the JBL Clip 4 will not pair with it automatically. The status lamp denotes this not-paired state by slow or quick flashing white.

6. Put your JBL Clip 4 into Bluetooth Pairing Mode

Now, to see your Clip 3 on your iPhone, place the speaker into pairing mode. So to do that, press the Pairing button. We also find this on the left side, just below the Power button.
