How to Hard Reset JBL Clip 2 Speaker

Explains how to hard reset JBL Clip 2 speaker to its default settings and state.  This routine works as described next.

Hard resetting restores the speaker to a known-good state. Plus, this erases any earlier paired Bluetooth devices from memory. This then stops the 2 from pairing to any devices. Also, you might do this to get the 2 ready or sale or re-gifting. Or just do it to stop the 2 from pairing with devices you no longer have interest in.

How to Hard Reset JBL Clip 2 Speaker: Step by Step

1. Turn on the Speaker

Firstly, press and hold the Power button until the status lamp lights up blue and the guitar strum sound plays.

Then, the status light comes on.

2. Wait for the Power Up Guitar Sound

The 2 makes a rising electric guitar strum sound as it boots. The speaker is then ready for use when this riff finishes.

Now it may or may not pair with a device. This depends on whether there are any in-range devices that know about this speaker.  But whether it pairs or not, hard reset works the same way, as follows.

Then find the Phone and UP Volume buttons.  The Phone button is in the middle of the left side panel.  And the Volume UP button is to its left.

The Clip 2 then performs the hard reset.
