A decent JBL Flip 6 charger type, is one that can safely recharge the speaker in 2.5 hours. Note that currently, JBL does not include an AC charger with the Flip 6. So, you’ll need to either have one already, or purchase one.
Also, the speaker has a USB-C charging port. So be sure to have the right USB-C cable on hand for the charger you want.
Furthermore, the maximum current this speaker accepts is 3 amps, and this gives the fastest charging performance. But to get that, you’ll need either a charger with a USB-C output port. Or get one that has the USB-A style connector but supports the QC 3.0 or USB PD charging protocols. So we suggest either a USB-C, QC3.0, or USB PD charger. Many of these can deliver 15 watts (5 volts at 3 amps) for the quickest charging.
We successfully recharge the JBL Flip 6 with the chargers below. Note that a few of these have a USB A type female connector. So you can use the black USB-C cable that comes with the JBL Flip 6 with them. Or, if your charger only has a USB-C output port, then buy a USB-C to USB-C cable. These are inexpensive.
Now, to the suggested chargers.
This group of chargers can refresh the JBL Flip 6 at the max power that the speaker accepts (15 watts). Plus all of these are affordable. But for most of them, you will also need a USB-C to USB-C cable.
This hefty household wall charging station delivers all the current you need for charging your Flip 6. It delivers full USB 2 power on each and every one of its ten output ports. This means that you won’t increase the speaker charging time when you charge more than one device on it. In fact, this charging station supplies enough juice to recharge all models in the JBL Flip line. Plus you can charge them all at the same time to boot. Find this useful USB accessory here at Amazon.com. We also reviewed this device here.
But this charger outputs a little less than the optimal charging current for the Flip 6. So with it, you may notice slightly longer charging times. But still, this is quite the useful charging station for devices like this speaker.
This CE Tech charging station is another beefy unit. It works well for recharging most JBL Flip speakers quickly. This USB power hub is available occasionally on eBay for under thirty US dollars. We’ve also reviewed this quad port charging system here.
Note that like the power station above, this wall charger supports neither QC 3.0 nor USB PD. So again, it will charge the Flip 6 more slowly. But not too much slower… perhaps an hour or two longer to full charge.
This charger is available at Amazon. See an equivalent charger’s product page at Walmart.com. At less than twelve dollars, this dual port AC USB charger is small enough to fit in any travel kit. It’s also great to take on vacation, because it features a night light. So it makes finding your way around strange hotel rooms a cinch. See our GE Jasco 2.1 Amp USB Charger, Y14 Review post for more details.
Once again, like the others above, this charger recharge the speaker a little slower. Why? Because its max current output is less than 3 amps (it’s 2.1 amps).
Finally, some JBL speakers come with this JBL AC adapter included. This wall charger does not come with the Flip 6. Yet it charges the speaker fairly well just the same, albeit a slower than the USB-C chargers above. See our JBL USB AC Charger Adapter Specs for further details.
