A proper Sony XB 43 charger type, is a USB wall or auto charger adapter that delivers enough current to fully recharge this speaker in the least amount of time (around 5 hours or less depending on the current output of the adapter you use). So be clear that the charger you pick can deliver enough power for best possible charging performance.
Also, this Bluetooth speaker has a USB-C charging port on the back. So if you opt to buy one of the charger options below, then be sure to also get the right cable. You’ll use this to connect the XB 43 to your charger of choice. Details follow.
Plus, the maximum current this speaker may draw is 3 amps for the shortest charging times. To get that amount, use a USB-C cable between the charger and speaker that is certified for 3 amp operation. Or, if you have the charger that comes with the 43, it has the cable already attached. But you can either use a USB-C to USB-C cord, or use a USB-A to USB-C cord if you go with one of the older USB 2.0 chargers below.
We successfully charge the XB 43 with the AC adapters below. Note that some of them feature a USB A type female port. So, you can use one of these to connect your speaker if you wish to use a USB-C to USB-A cord. Or, if your charger only has a USB-C output port, then you’ll need a USB-C to USB-C cable.
Now, to the adapters we suggest.
This collection of chargers can charge the XB 43 at the max power that the speaker will need (around 15 watts). Plus none of these costs much. But as we said earlier, for some of them, you will need a USB-C to USB-C cable to connect them to the speaker.
Note that most of these chargers do not provide the full 3 amps that the XB33 needs for fastest charging. But they will all charge it in under 10 hours.

At less than twelve dollars, this dual port AC USB wall adapter, with its folding plug prongs, is small enough to fit in any mobile device accessory travel kit.
