Wonderboom 3 Charger

An adequate Wonderboom 3 charger is a USB wall or auto charger adapter that delivers enough stuff to fully recharge this speaker in the least amount of time (around 2.6 hours). So be sure to use a charger that can deliver enough of the goods.

Also, this Bluetooth speaker has a micro USB charging port on the back. So if you opt to buy one of the charger options below, then be sure to also get the right cable.  You’ll use this to connect the speaker to your charger of choice. Details follow.

Furthermore, the maximum current this speaker accepts is ~1.0 amp to get the shortest charging times. So, either use a USB-C to micro USB cord, or use a USB-A to micro USB cable if you go with one of the older USB 2.0 chargers below.

Wonderboom 3 Charger: Which Works Well?

We successfully charge the Wonderboom 3 with the AC adapters below. Note that some of them feature a USB A female connector.  So, you can use one of these to connect your speaker if you wish to use the yellow micro USB to USB-A cord that comes with this speaker.  Or, if your charger only has a USB-C output port, then you’ll need a USB-C to micro USB cable, which Ultimate Ears does not include this sort of cable.

Now, to the adapters we suggest.

USB-C Chargers

This collection of chargers can charge the Wonderboom 3 at the max power that the speaker can draw (around 5 watts).  Plus none of these costs much. But as we said earlier, for some of them, you will need a USB-C to micro USB cable to connect them to the speaker.

This hefty household wall charging station delivers all the current you need for charging your Wonderboom 3.  It delivers full USB 2 power on each and every one of its ten output ports.  This means that you will not bulk up the speaker charging time when you recharge more than one device on it. 2. CE Tech 4 Port USB Wall Charger

3. GE Jasco Y14 11307 USB AC Charger

This charger is available at Walmart.com.  See that product page, here.   At less than twelve dollars, this dual port AC USB wall adapter, with its folding plug prongs, is small enough to fit in any mobile device accessory travel kit.  It’s also terrific when you take this UE speaker on vacation. 4. JBL Charger as a Wonderboom 3 Charger

Finally, some UE speakers you can charge with this JBL power adapter, including this one.  In spite of being another brand of charger, this adapter still recharges the Wonderboom 3 quite well.
