AC Adapter Specs for Victor Reader Stream 303

The AC adapter shipped with the original Victor Reader Stream model 303 player is a five volt switching supply. It comes with a male barrel style power plug on one end of a thick, six foot, non detachable cord. Furthermore, the US version sports a standard 120v AC two prong, non polarized plug, with non retractable prongs. Shown in the next picture. Now in this piece we cover these AC adapter specs for the Victor Reader Stream 303 eBook player.

AC Adapter Specs for Victor Reader Stream Model 303

Input

This lightweight BI brand switching power supply, model BI13-050200-BdU, accepts 50-60 Hz. 100-240 volts, 50/60 Hertz, at 0.5 amps.

Output

It outputs 5.0 volts DC at 2 amps max. This is 10 watts, to the male DC power jack at the other end of the cable. Moreover, the polarity is positive center, negative outer sleeve. See this printed on the supply label, shown next.

The attached cable matches the black case on the adapter. It also has a thin male DC output plug. This plug inserts into the female power jack on the Stream, as shown above.

Unfortunately, this AC adapter has no pilot lamp to show that it’s running. Further, it can whistle and chatter a bit. But you barely hear these sounds, though you can hear them when all else is quiet.

Additionally, the business part of the DC output jack plugs into the Victor Reader Stream. It is about 9 mm long as shown in the last picture. It is also roughly 4 mm wide, as shown in the next picture.

The model 303 Stream sports a DC power port, where you connect the AC adapter. The port is on its top, as shown next, pointed at by the blue arrow.
