How to Make UE Wonderboom Discoverable

To pair the UE Wonderboom with a BT source device for the first time, or to refresh the connection information stored on that device, you must know how to launch discovery mode on this unit. Further, in this mode, the UE Wonderboom sends its Bluetooth name and current linkage info on the BT airwaves. So in this post, we show you how to make the UE Wonderboom discoverable. Thus you can then join it to phones, tablets, computers, and smart speakers.

How to Make UE Wonderboom Discoverable: Step by Step Routine

1. Turn On the UE Wonderboom

First, turn on the unit by pressing and releasing its Power button once.

The UE Wonderboom then comes on, and the Power button lights up white to signal that power is ON, as shown next.

2. Press the Discovery Mode Button and Release when the Unit Makes the Discovery Mode Sound

Now, to see the UE Wonderboom on your source Bluetooth device, place it into discovery mode. For that, press and release the the Discovery Mode button.

When you press this button, the UE Wonderboom plays a plucking guitar pairing sound. Furthermore, that same button begins fast-flashing white.

While the Discovery Mode button is flashing, you should see your UE Wonderboom on any phone, computer, or tablet, that is within several feet of it, as seen next. Our UE here has its default name here, called “Wonderboom”.
