The infinity button (PartyBoost button) on the JBL Boombox 2 speaker.
The JBL Boombox 2 has a button on top which is the PartyBoost button. Here, we explain the function of this (A.K.A Infinity) button, what it does, and how to use it.
In short, this button lets you join from two to over a hundred PartyBoost compatible speakers together. This way, they all play the same program. Thus, you can fill a much bigger party area with sound than you can with just one speaker. Further, you can place the units as far apart as is common for Bluetooth speakers. So the area you can cover with them is large enough for most small to medium size parties.
Use the PartyBoost button to connect two or more JBL PartyBoost compatible speakers together. This is “party mode”, and the Boombox 2 supports it. Thus, when you sync them in this way, they all play the same program without any echoes or delays. PartyBoost mode is like Amazon’s multi room music groups. That is, all speakers that join in play the same audio at the same time.
Then, with each speaker running, you press the PartyBoost button on each speaker to add to the group.
The PartyBoost button appears like an infinity symbol.
Note that you can mix and match any JBL speakers in this joined group. So long as they all support the PartyBoost protocol.
