JBL Charge 3 portable rechargeable speaker. Showing its left end. This Bluetooth speaker is powered on and paired.
You can increase the bass of this speaker by turning ON and OFF the JBL Charge 3 bass boost. When ON, bass boost makes the passive bass radiators on the ends of the speaker vibrate a lot more. Furthermore, it adds a notable rumble quality to the playing program.
But bass boost can drain the battery faster, especially at high volume settings. Indeed the more bass you have, the more energy needed to create it. So be careful of how loudly you play the Charge 3, to conserve battery power if yo need to.
By default, this speaker has bass boost turned ON after a reset. This adds a bit of extra treble in addition to lots more bass to the sound.
You can turn bass boost off by pressing the Volume Down (-) and Bluetooth buttons. Then hold them in for about ten seconds and release them after that.
Keep holding until some of the battery gauge lights come on, as we see in the next picture. Find the buttons on the top of the speaker, as shown in the picture above.
Finally, to turn bass mode back on, again, press and hold the Volume Down and Bluetooth buttons in. Then hold until the battery gauge lights up again. After that, release the buttons. When the battery gauge lights up, the bass mode has resumed once again.
