We explain the pattern that the lights on the JBL Clip 3 make during operation. We describe what each pattern means and how to respond when you see a certain one.
The status lamp slowly flashes white when the speaker is in standby mode, waiting for a connection request.
It rapidly flashes white when in Bluetooth discovery mode, soliciting a connection.
It glows solid white when the JBL Clip 3 is currently hosting a connection with a Bluetooth source device.
Finally, the status lamp glows red when the JBL Clip 3 is charging. This lamp lights solid red regardless of whether the JBL Clip 3 is ON or OFF.
If the speaker is OFF during charging, then the red lamp goes dark when charging finishes.
But if running, then the status lamp returns to the pattern it had prior to charging start.
The status lamp glows a solid whitish pink when the speaker is in All Lights On mode.
The status light flashes red when the speaker is running on battery power, and the battery is almost dead. The blinking red lamp reminds you to recharge the speaker as soon as practical.
