Left front view of the JBL Flip 6 wireless speaker.
The JBL Flip 6 has several buttons across its top and side panels, and one is the PartyBoost function. We explain the how PartyBoost works here. We detail what it does, and how to use it.
In summary, this control lets you join from two to over a hundred PartyBoost compatible speakers together. This way, they all play the same audio. Therefore, you can fill a much bigger party area with sound than you can with just one speaker. Further, you may place them as far apart as is typical for Bluetooth distances. So the area that PartyBoost can cover is large enough for most common house parties.
Use PartyBoost to connect two or more JBL PartyBoost compatible speakers together, in “party mode”. Thus, they all play the same stream without any echoes or delays. PartyBoost is like Amazon’s multi room music groups on Alexa speakers. That is, all speakers that join in play the same audio, in sync with each other.
Then, with each speaker running, press the PartyBoost button on each one you’re adding to the group.
This button looks like an infinity symbol. Thus its name.
Note that you can mix and match any combination of JBL speakers in this group. They only requirement is that they all support PartyBoost. This is not much of a problem though. Indeed the latest speakers in the Flip, Charge, Xtreme, and Boombox lines work in PartyBoost mode.
