The JBL Xtreme (Extreme) Bluetooth speaker comes with an AC adapter charger, discussed in this post. Moreover, this power supply fully recharges the speaker’s built in power bank in less than four hours. And after a full recharge, the Xtreme plays for up to fifteen hours at average volume levels before needing another charge. So here, we give the JBL Xtreme power cord AC charger specs. Furthermore, we show how to charge this hefty yet portable Bluetooth speaker with this adapter.
Firstly, this AC adapter is black in color, as shown next. Furthermore, it has one barrel type DC power output plug. It also has a detachable AC power cable connects the power converter box to a standard wall outlet.

This AC cord comes in two pieces. Firstly, we have the DC cable that’s permanently attached to the power supply box. Secondly, there’s the AC “cheater” style cord that plugs into the power converter box.
Next, we show the AC input plug on that box. This is a pretty standard, non polarized AC cord. That means that you can insert the cord here either way. Also, the standard 110 volt AC plug on the other end of the cable is non polarized.
The end of the AC cord that plugs into the power supply is approximately five eights of an inch long and a quarter inch wide, as shown next.
Also, the standard 110 volt AC plug on the other end of the cable is non polarized. Now to the other connector in this power adapter.
The part of the DC output jack the goes inside the speaker measures approximately 0.3 inches or 8 mm long, as shown next.
This DC plug has a notch near the tip to enhance secure holding when connected to the speaker, as seen in the last picture. This plug is approximately three sixteenths of an inch wide, or roughly 5 mm. We claim no degree of precision on these measurements.
Firstly, you connect the AC power supply and speaker together via the DC cable and its barrel connector for recharging the internal batteries as shown next. Further, note that the Xtreme has one DC input plug, labeled Power, inside its port panel just beneath the orange zipper.
E.g. See this port pointed out by the green arrow in the next picture.
Use this input to recharge the JBL Xtreme wireless speaker with this accessory power cord.
