UE Wonderboom Charger

A decent UE Wonderboom charger is a USB AC charger that supplies at least 2.1 amps at 5 volts (12 watts or more). Note that currently, Ultimate Ears does not provide a compatible USB charger with its UE Wonderboom speaker.  So, you’ll need to buy one elsewhere.  These usually cost between ten and forty US dollars.

UE Wonderboom Charger: Which One to Use

We’ve successfully charged our UE Wonderboom 1 Bluetooth speaker with the chargers, listed below. Each works quite well as replacement for any charger that worked before needing replaced.  Note that all these chargers sport at least one USB A type female connector.  You’ll need an AC adapter like these to connect your speaker if you wish to use the yellow USB charging cable that comes with the UE Wonderboom speaker. Or, use a longer cord if you wish.  But make sure it supports full power USB charging.  If not, your speaker will charge more slowly, and may not fully charge at all.  So pick a thick USB cord.

1. RavPower 24 Watt Dual USB Wall Charger

This charger replacement is available at Amazon.com.  See its product page here. At under twelve dollars US, this dual USB port AC wall charger fits easily into a purse or luggage for convenient portable use.  But it’s not so tiny that you’ll lose it too easily.

 

2. Gearmo Ten Port USB Charging Station

This beefy home wall charging station puts out all the amperage you need for charging your UE Wonderboom speaker.  It delivers full USB power on each and every one of its ten output ports.  This means that you won’t raise the speaker charging time when you charge more than one mobile device through it. In fact, this ten port charger offers enough juice to recharge all models in the Ultimate Ears family of portable Bluetooth speakers that have USB charging ports. 3. CE Tech 4 Port USB Wall Charger

This CE Tech charging station is another hefty charger replacement, well designed for quickly charging most devices including the UE Wonderboom speaker, in as few hours as possible.  Buy this well built USB power hub on eBay for under thirty US dollars.

4. GE Jasco Y14 11307 USB Charger Replacement, 2.1 Amp, Dual USB Ports, with Night Light

This charger is available at Amazon.com.  See a similar speaker charger’s product page at Amazon.com, here.   At less than twelve dollars, this dual port AC USB wall charger, with its folding plug prongs, is small enough to fit in any mobile device accessory travel bag.  It also works well when you take your UE Wonderboom speaker on vacation. 5. JBL Charger Replacement for the Older Flip and Charge Models Also Works on the UE Wonderboom
