To pair the JBL Charge 3 with a device, you must start pairing mode for first pairing. In this mode, this speaker broadcasts its Bluetooth name and current linkage data. And this lets other devices connect to it. So in this piece, we show how to put the JBL Charge 3 in pairing mode. Then you can join it to phones, tablets, computers, and smart speakers.
Firstly, turn on the speaker by pressing its Power button once.
E.g. See this button, pointed at by the bright green arrow, in the next picture.
The speaker then comes on, as pictured next.
Secondly, to find your speaker on your source Bluetooth device, place the speaker into pairing mode.
For that, press and release the the Pairing Mode button, as pointed out in the next picture.
Additionally, when you press this Pairing button, the speaker makes a plucking guitar pairing sound. Moreover, the lamp in the Power button starts quickly blinking blue.
Lastly, the Status light is flashing, you should see the speaker on any in-range source device.
