JBL Flip 3 speaker. Showing its front and right end.
To pair the JBL Flip 3 with a device, you must know how to fire up pairing mode. In this mode, the Flip 3 broadcasts its Bluetooth name and pairing data. And devices need this info to connect to it. So in this piece, we show you how to put the unit into pairing mode. Thus you can then link to it and finally, play music through it from tablets, phones, smart speakers, and computers.
Firstly, turn on the Flip 3 by rapidly pressing its Power button.
The speaker then comes on.
Secondly, to be able to discover your Flip 3 on your source device, place it into pairing mode. So for that, press and release the the Pairing button.
When you press this Pairing button, the Flip 3 makes a plucking guitar pairing sound. Plus, the Power button light starts quick-flashing blue.
Then the Power button is flashing. So at this point, you should see your JBL Flip 3 on any in-range phone, computer, tablet, or smart speaker. So ours here we call “Tom’s Flip 3”. But if you haven’t renamed yours, it will show up as “JBL Flip 3”.
