How to Charge JBL Flip 6 Speaker

Recharge this speaker through the top-panel USB-C charging ports. To summarize how to charge the JBL Flip 6 speaker: First, pick a right size USB power adapter. This speaker does not ship with one.

Next, connect a USB-C cable included between the speaker and the power supply you’re going to use.

Then, connect that adapter to a working AC or vehicle outlet.

Finally after two and a half to three hours, the speaker will completely recharge. Then, you’ll have music again for up to twelve hours (about), before you must charge it anew.

1. Choose Right Size Charger

We suggest a charger that can deliver at least 15 watts (5 volts at 3 amps). Such a  beast gives the quickest charging times. Now to get that fastest charging, use a USB-C power supply. Or use one that supports USB PD or QC 3.0.  Furthermore, to use the cord that comes with the speaker, pick a USB-A charger. But unless the one you choose has QC 3.0 capability, it won’t charge the fastest in that case.

For this demo, we use the Key Power charger station, along with a USB-C to USB-C cable.

3. Plug the Other End of the Cord into the Charger Adapter

Next, connect the A (or C in our case here) end of the USB charge cable to your charger.

4. Plug that Wall Adapter into a Working Outlet

Now that you have connected the speaker and the AC adapter, plug the charger into a working AC outlet.

At least a small part of the battery bar gauge should light up when you connect power. Then as charging progresses, more of the bar illuminates.

5. Allow the Speaker to Charge Until the Battery Meter Goes Completely Dark

Recharging is almost complete when all but the last of the battery gauge lights glows solid. That one continues flashing for a few minutes more while the system tops off the charging.

After that, the battery recharge cycle finishes when the gauge goes out completely.

6. Unplug the Charging Cable

We have now fully charged our Flip 6 speaker. To further check this, look at the battery indicator just after turning the speaker on afterwards. The whole battery gauge bar should glow, as we show in the last picture.  This means that the speaker has indeed fully charged.

Repeat this recharging every twelve hours of music play, to keep its battery in top shape. We charge ours when the battery indicator shows only one light glowing.
