JBL Charge 3 portable wireless speaker. Showing the front right end view. The Bluetooth speaker is powered on and paired.
The usual JBL Charge 3 charging time we discuss in this piece. You charge the JBL Charge 3 Bluetooth speakers via the micro USB charge port behind the zipper. Furthermore, to get the quickest charge time, be sure to use a high current USB charger.
According to the specs, the time it takes for fully charging is four and a half (4.5) hours.
On a complete charge, the Charge 3 can play for up to twenty (20) hours. This is possible due to its 6,000 MaH, 22.2 WaH lithium ion polymer battery.
But when you play it loudly, particularly with more bass, you will see somewhat shorter party music playing power. In fact, we see it run dead in around seventeen hours at louder volumes. So to get the longest charge time, power saving is important. Thus to conserve power, just play it only as loudly as necessary.
Now perhaps you own this speaker for three to five years. Then you may notice that the time it plays from a single charge shrinks over time. This is normal for devices like this one, that have lithium ion batteries.
But by exercising the battery, you can slow this charge capacity fall off.
Additionally, to exercise the JBL Charge 3, run the battery dead and charge it again every three to six months.
Also, we suggest that you not leave the speaker plugged into a charger once it has reached a full charging. Right after the charging lamps completely go out, disconnect the speaker as soon as practical. This avoids overcharging it and damaging the battery.
