Logitech Wonderboom Pairing Two Speakers

Describes how to pair 2 Logitech Wonderboom speakers such that they both play the same audio content from one source device.  Here we have one Logitech Wonderboom 1, and one Logitech Wonderboom 2 speaker to show how pairing 2 Logitech Wonderboom speakers works. But of course you can also pair two Logitech Wonderboom 1’s or two Logitech Wonderboom 2’s.

Logitech Wonderboom Pairing Two Speakers: Step by Step

1. Power Up Both Speakers

We show the Power buttons on each of our Logitech Wonderbooms in the next pictures.

Press and let go of the Power button on the first one, and await the power-ON sound.

Then, press and release the Power button on the second Logitech Wonderboom, and again, wait for it to come on.

2. Logitech Wonderboom Pairing Two Speakers: Pair the First with a Source Device

In this demo, we’ll first link the Logitech Wonderboom 1 speaker with our iPad Air tablet.  Now maybe you’re not sure how to connect your Logitech Wonderboom to a Bluetooth device. If you are not, then see our  How to Pair Logitech Wonderboom Speakers with Bluetooth Devices   post for details.

3. Press and Release the Play / Pause Button on the First Speaker

Next, press the middle (Play / Pause) area of the Logitech Wonderboom you just connected. Then hold until the speaker makes a pairing sound and the Bluetooth lamp starts fast-flashing.  In this scenario, our first speaker is the original Logitech Wonderboom (the first version of this series).

4. Press the Play / Pause Button on the Second Logitech Wonderboom

Next, press and release the middle area of the second Logitech Wonderboom.  In this scenario, ours is the second version of the Logitech Wonderboom (Wonderboom 2).

The speaker then makes a ready-to-connect sound. Then the pairing light just above the center button blinks briefly.  Finally, once this speaker pairs with the first Logitech Wonderboom, the Bluetooth lamp glows steadily.

5. Done with How to Logitech Wonderboom Pairing Two Speakers !

Your two Logitech Wonderbooms now share a common pairing with the source device.  Thus, when you play audio on your source device, you’ll now hear it through both Logitech Wonderboom speakers.

Note that each Logitech Wonderboom provides stereo sound. And this holds true even when you have two of them joined to each other.  In other words, each speaker provides stereo whether or not it connects to another Logitech Wonderboom.  Thus the first Logitech Wonderboom does not play only the left channel. Nor does the second play only the right. Instead, both Logitech Wonderbooms play both channels, in stereo, in fact.

Logitech Wonderboom Pairing 2 Speakers: Breaking the Connection

To break the pairing between the two Logitech Wonderboom speakers, simply power down the second one.  After that, the first one (the one that you paired with your Bluetooth device) continues playing.

Now powering down the first of the speakers will also break the connection between it and the second. Then the second speaker stops playing.  But this also breaks the link with the source BT device.  So powering OFF the first speaker stops BOTH speakers from playing. But remember that the second one will still be ON until you turn it off.
