Sony X 5 Charging Instructions

This piece covers Sony X 5 Bluetooth speaker charging instructions. Do this easily through the DC power in port, shown in the pictures below. Note that you can still play your X 5 as it charges, without increasing the recharge time by much, as long as your charger is “hefty” enough.

Sony X 5 Charging Instructions, Summary

So to that end, pick a strong enough AC power adapter. We suggest using the one that comes with this speaker from Sony.

Then, insert the barrel end of the cord into the speaker and plug the charger into a working AC outlet.

Finally, after four (4) hours or so, your X 5 finishes recharging.  So it’s ready to play once more for up to eight (8) hours before needing another recharge.

Sony X 5 Charging Instructions, Step by Step

1. Choose Correct Size AC or Car Adapter

The charger you use should provide 12.5 volts and at least 2.5 amps (31.25 watts). Here, we use the Sony AC-S125V25A charger, Now as mentioned, this speaker needs roughly two and a half amps current to recharge fully in the shortest time.  So this charger supplies the right amount of power for this job.
