Reset Echo Dot 2nd Generation, How To

You may wish to reset Echo Dot 2nd Generation to factory settings because you wish to sell it. Or you just want to set it to another Amazon account, or to a new WiFi network. So, in that vein, to reset your Echo Dot smart speaker to factory settings, just run through the following steps.

Logitech Factory resetting unlinks the 2nd generation Echo Dot Alexa unit from its current Amazon account.  So, it forgets its current Wi-Fi connection settings. So beware that after the factory reset, your Echo Dot 2 will likely not work until after it’s been properly set up again.
