JBL Flip 6 Reset Button Location

Where to find the JBL Flip 6 reset button? Well, no physical reset button exists.  Instead, to reset this speaker, you must press a button combination, as we detail next. A reset button combination is a common practice on the Flip series speakers.

JBL Flip 6 Reset Button: Combo Location

On the Flip 6, we find no separate reset button. But several buttons appear across the top edge of the speaker. They likely figured that a separate reset button would add cost and potentially make the Flip 6 less waterproof.  So they made the reset function a button code combination to reduce the button count.  Less buttons means better water resistance.

Press and hold the   Volume UP   and   Play   buttons there.  Press these at the same time until the hard reset occurs.

Finally, it’s unlikely that you’ll inadvertently reset the Flip 6 by accidently pressing these two buttons together.  But if you do by mistake, re pairing the speaker to your favorite Bluetooth devices is quite simple.

See our  How to Pair JBL Flip 6 post for more details. Also, you can adapt these pairing instructions for Android, Windows, and Mac Bluetooth devices also.

Now if reset does not work, then make sure you’re pressing the correct buttons hard enough.  But not too hard. Also, be sure to hold them in until the Flip 6 makes the power down guitar sound. Keep holding until it shuts down.
